Well, it turns out that I'm even more impatient than I previously
realized. I just went through a Hardy -> Intrepid -> Jaunty upgrade with
debathena-upgrade-config installed on a debathena-standard machine.
The Hardy -> Intrepid upgrade behaved like it always has -
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/debathena.list was unaltered and commented out.
The Intrepid -> Jaunty upgrade, as promised, replaced intrepid with
jaunty in debathena.list and didn't comment anything out, meaning that
all of the Debathena packages were upgraded alongside the standard
Ubuntu ones.
This is exactly the behavior we were expecting. Given the fact that this
package was planned months ago, that it has minimal and tested impact,
that it's been seconded but not objected to, and that people are already
beginning to upgrade from Intrepid to Jaunty, I'm going to plan to put
debathena-upgrade-config and a version of debathena-standard that
depends on it into production tomorrow.
