Interesting. I wonder if the vmware tools shipped with Fusion is  
different.

When I built it, all the C compiles failed, so the high performance  
network driver, and the other various drivers would not build, owing  
to problems with included files.  Even though none of the builds were  
successful, it did install something that resized my screen when I  
went to full-size.  Getting the open source open-vm-tools to the  
point where screen resize worked was also challenging.
