Jonathan D Reed commented on ATN-31:

Um, neat. Seems like the culprit is consistently fd/5 of zwgc, a punch of tracker file descriptors, and then two for evolution-data-server.
I'm pretty sure tracker is in fact not supposed to be doing anything.
However, if you want to try setting
IndexEvolutionEmails=false
IndexThunderbirdEmails=false
just for kicks, that might work.
I'd kind of want to know what tracker thinks it's actually doing. lsof output might be enlightening here, but I bet that's hard.

> sjlevine reported that on next6.mit.edu, clicking the "Logout" button from the dialog box brought up from the red power button causes the system to reboot.
> price reproduced this on opus.mit.edu.
> I am able to safely log out with the 'logout' command; also, users were logging in and out of next6 last night without intervening reboots. I don't know if they just typed the 'logout' command, failing to find the EXIT button.
