Cool.

I would add at the end of the last paragraph something like "If you
want your debathena-workstation machine to take up the new behavior,
no action is required."  Otherwise with the last line it sounds like
"you must do something" rather than "if you want X rather than Y, you
must do something".

This could be "The standard set of upstream software installed locally
on cluster machines", where 'upstream' could be 'third-party' or
'extra' or 'external'.  "The standard set of software" sounds like it
might mean the Athena stuff -- and of course they have that already.
