Hi Gabriel,

There's not a concrete plan with a timeline, though some work is going on
sporadically.  In particular, a large number of packages for 18.04 are
built and available in the 'buster-development' pocket and we've had some
reports of success with debathena-login.  Additional testing, especially at
the -login-graphical level if possible, is helpful, though there are a
couple of known issues at the moment, such as packages that require
python2, and python-afs specifically will need additional updates due to
changes in upstream openafs 1.8.x.  If you're interested in getting into
the details of any of that, there are usually a few folks on zephyr on
class debathena that can help walk through various things.
