Also, just in case you haven't found it already,
https://debathena.mit.edu/trac/wiki has links to the "most-current" (i.e.,
laest stale) documentation that's written down.  The "Developers" section
(and, most notably, "Contributing" subsection) will likely have some
helpful links in it.

We're happy to answer more detailed questions as well, though perhaps a
real-time medium is more appropriate for that.
