I guess you are referring to the 'mitprint' printer? It would
probably be good if you could link to the tutorial you are following
(as there are instructions scattered in several places), as well as
describe what you have done so far.

Though debathena is not officially supported on linux mint, we do
have reports from several users who were able to get it working to
their satisfaction. It may be possible for you to attain the same,
but we would need more details about what system you are running and
how you are attempting to use debathena in order to provide much
help.
