Last week XVM ran into an issue in the Linux LVM system which limits
the number of disk images we can create for all your VMs. We're sad
that y'all can't create VMs right now, so we've been working up a fix.

Over the next several days we'll be moving your disk images between
different parts of our RAID array in order to set things up with more
space reserved for LVM metadata. You may see a slowdown in disk
access during this process.

We've tested our procedure on our development cluster, and we believe
it will run smoothly for nearly all VMs with no interruption in
service.  A handful of VMs running LiveCDs may have to shut down;
we'll be sure to let their owners know individually.

Feel free to ask us any questions you have about this operation, at
xvm@mit.edu. We'll send another announcement when the operation is
complete.
