I'd prefer to avoid changing people's auto-save defaults -- it's not
something anyone should expect installing Debathena's software for
accessing Athena services on their laptop to do. If we were to make these
changes conditional on DEBATHENA_HOME_TYPE or something, it'd probably be
OK.
