Hello,
Rumor has it that a beta installation of Debathena/Athena 10 might appear
in clusters next week. So, I'll be hosting an "unofficial" hackathon in
the SIPB office this Saturday at 2PM to work on Debathena/Athena 10.
We'll primarily be working on finalizing the technical details of the
planned merger of the Debathena and Athena 10 projects and possibly some
outstanding major bugs. So, things like merging the installers, verifying
that there are no unexpected differences between the two apt repositories,
setting up a long-term beta repository, fixing some distribution upgrade
path bugs, etc.
Because of the short notice and because I expect that the Debathena work
targeted for this hackathon will not be accessible to people without prior
Debathena experience, I am not requesting that money be allocated for it
via the SIPB's standing allocation for hackathons. I may, however, make a
small donation to the Waseem Sebastian Daher Juice Endowment and then
immediately bankrupt said endowment[1] by spending them on juice and
snacks.
