Unexpected reboot tonight

After being almost completely unresponsive for about an hour tonight, we
were forced to reboot Linerva. It was back up at approximately 6:20 PM.
We believe that the hang was caused by a deadlock in OpenAFS. We have
upgraded linerva to use OpenAFS 1.4.8, and it is our hope that this will
help prevent this same problem from occurring in the future.
