Sorry for the delay in getting comments to you.
Overall I think the outline contains all the right elements. Actually,
it seems rather ambitious. :)
The things that are most important to me, are whether the new backup
system is reliable for backup and restores, is robust, recovers
gracefully in time of error or system crash, can be operated with
minimal (significantly less than our existing system) user and
developer resources, is flexible in terms of configuration. I think
that's about it in terms of high-priority functionality, and what I
think the acceptance criteria check.
Also, we'll gladly help with the Beta test planning and evaluation and
also develop the Operational phase-in plan.
