Ops is getting rid of monitors on machines in the machine room in
favor of serial consoles with 4-port switchers. Next on the list is
the table with moira3, metamucil, and suomi. Moira3 is already set up
with the serial console, and suomi can (at least theoretically) be
taken down at any point since there are two other hesiod servers. So
the only tricky part is metamucil.
Could you figure out a good time for a 5-minute-or-so outage in the
next week or so when we could reboot it and put it on a serial
console?
Probably someone who's in both ops and abs should deal with actually
doing this. (The reason for doing it in the next week is that there's
no room for moira3's RAID until the monitors go away.)
