Is this an overview or is this "the" design spec for
crippled mode? (depending upon the answer to the above,
I may have more comments).
General Comments:
Can we be more clear and concise about what exactly
the "test driver" is. I had to read this serveral times
and I'm still not certain exactly what's in it; ie.,
is the "test-driver":
a. A fake master which exports only the ABS_SLAVEINT interface?
b. A fake master exporting the ABS_SLAVEINT with some kind of
user/command interface embedded into it?
c. A user/command interface which communicates with the
slave via the slave's ABSSLAVE interface?
d. neither.
There is some distinction here which needs to made a bit clearer.
Also, I thought that we weren't requiring the Slave to mark
tapes which special markings indicating they were created in
disaster mode. (I think this is an extra complexity which
doesn't buy much value.
