This is to announce the next meeting of the Athena Backup System, with
your new team leader, Bill Cattey -- ME!
I have been told that Athena Backup System meetings have traditionally
been Thursdays at 3:00 PM so that's the time I set up.
Next meeting:
9 November 1995
3:00 PM
E40-496 (That's the only nearby room that was available.)
Agenda:
Review of most recently circulated Task List/Milestones document.
Assess what work remains to be done.
Discuss the order of doing that work would be most useful.
Establish Plan for moving forward.
FUN!
Commentary:
We're getting close to having a product ready to ship.
Many team members have informally said, and I agree, that it is time to
review the requirements, and make sure that what has been built will be
a good match with what is needed.
It is time to bring two additional insights into our work:
1. Do the remaining work with an eye to providing functionality to
Brian that addresses immediate problems IN ADVANCE of the shipping of
the entire system, if possible.
2. Make sure that our product has credibility with the customer. This
means answering the questions: Have our customers adequate understanding
of the product,
adequate documentation of the product, and adequate experience with it
as it has evolved and as it will be used so that they are truly
satisfied with it.
