We're going to talk about tape drives today.

Have we decided to use the DLT tape drives?

Brian hasn't seen anything better w91 has had DLT's for 4 years
without problems. So yes.

Two options:

Opriot 1 (Storage Dimentions)

4 drives in 1 enclosure 2 sbus 2 power supplies (redundancy)
$26k
Would we use 1 or two CPU's to drive the two SCSI busses?
We don't know what the bottleneck is going to be.
If we get this system we can work on this.
Get two? useful for redundency

option 2 (
two stackers one single unit

Our price range seems to be 60 to 95 K including new tape slaves, tape
drives.

lots of mumbling, Brian will get someone from storage dimentions to
come talk to us
