Diane hands out another code module. It contains code to deal with
different devices. Code is for next week.

Acceptance Criteria assignments:

jweiss makes bad joke about parallel processing and cereal processing.

We've punted the gnu coding style guide becaues it's too excessive,
we're using a C code checklist because it still has most of what we
want, and we can add what's missung.

we need an admin guide and an operator's guide. we probably need this
by time we go to beta. Diane will work on these

we'll use vendor compilers (something about oracle expecting this, and
diane having problems building the rpc with gcc)

testing: vrt will talk with the UROP's RSN. Basic DB stuff tested by
the end of July.

Brian will draft a beta test plan for the team to look at, (Brian will
be out the last two weeks in July. he should have something by early
to mid Aug. (7th)

vrt will be out for the end of Aug. beginning of Sept.

Brian will also work on the phase in plan, but probably not until we
start doing beta testing.

At some point we need to determine necessary resources for the maswter
and slaves. We should probably have a good idea of this before we go
to beta. This will require some performance tuning. dkk and Brian
will come up with some hardware suggestions. diane vrt and jweiss will
suggest ssome performance tests.

Diane will be working from home after 8/18. then she'll be out till
mid October or so.

How are we going to track bugs? We really don't know.

rough time-line:
integrated tests startibg in Aug
system test staring in Sept
beta starting in Oct

Dave makes bad spelling joke.
