Subject: zwrite: Don't send out pings by default to <message, foo,*>
By default, typing zwrite -i foo waits for the response to a
ping before giving the "Type..." message. However, if there is just one
person subscribed to <message,*,*>, (and there are many) the ping will
return true. So practically, true will always be returned. Thus, the
ping serves only to delay zwrite, and returns no useful information to
the sender. In this case, I think it would be helpful to have the
default be not to ping. I have been zwriting this way for some time, and
have noticed a perceptible improvement in speed.
