I suppose he's right, although I always felt the whole /tmp/wg* system
was unspeakably gross to start with. It is not clear what the
backwards compatibility would require... maybe write two numbers into
the file, the first one in "the old style" and the second in network
byte order... so that new clients would know to read the second one.

Still gross, though.

You should probably htons() & ntohs() the number you put in /tmp/wg.%d !

(I know, it really doesn't matter....)

(You'd do this in a backwards compatible way of course.)
