Not only is requiring kerberos tickets fascist, it is quite arbitrary.
Are we saying that we will let people find out who is logged in and where
as long as they have a working implementation of kerberos which is
accepted by ours?  It would seem that, once the inter-realm
stuff is working, the original intent (restriction of information)
will be rather moot.....

Why not make net-visible mean what it implies: visible over the net?
I would think that a finger@athena should tell people whether someone
is logged on, AND WHERE.  This way, outsiders could potentially
initiate talk conversations...  

I suppose I would have no problem with a "world-visible/announced".  The 
functionality should be provided, however.  Especially with Jik's
new fingerd on athena...
