I too kill and and restart zwgc when I rlogin - as a matter of fact, my .login
does it automatically if I rlogin to a 6.0 machine. I wonder whether there
should be an option to rlogin that sets the default display to the the display
from which rlogin was executed. Since I almost always log into soup and prefer
the new emacs and the new uwm to the 5.5T ones, I usually do all of my display
setup things remotely -
login: qjb
password:
Perform display setup (y/n)? n
...
xhost soup is done in my .login....
When I get this again remotely, I say yes with the display set to whatever
my local machine is, and it is completely transparent that I am logged in
remotely. Perhaps if I could type
rlogin -<use_local_display_option> soup
where <use_local_display_option> would be some cryptic one or two character
unix style flag, zwgc would use the local display...
Just thought I'd throw that in (clunk).
