Oh, really??
The man page of zhm tells me:
NAME
zhm - Zephyr HostManager
SYNOPSIS
/etc/athena/zhm [ -d ] [ -h ] [ -r ] [ -i ] [ server ... ]
DESCRIPTION
[...]
The -i option indicates that zhm is being started by inetd(8). When
this option is specified, zhm assumes that file descriptor zero (0)
is
bound to the UDP datagram port designated for hostmanager use. In
this mode, SIGHUP is handled as if the -h option were specified.
[...]
And it works indeed for a lot of different hosts using different Unixes
including the version of HP-UX 10.20, which is to be replaced by the one
causing the problem, soon :-(
Could you think of another solution?
Best regards,
Peter
