A few of us have noticed the rewrite. No one would argue that zephyr
isn't crufty. I'll be taking a look at the Gale source code base and
see if it might ever be of use to MIT, but the transition costs would
probably be way high even if Gale does look useful.
(And yes, people do read this list.)
