<p><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2"><b>Why are we offering this
seminar? </b> </font>
<p><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2">More often than you might
think, government contractors grant the federal government "unlimited" rights
to valuable corporate technology. Often this happens because contractor executives:
</font>
<p><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2"><b>1. </b>Failed to discuss
and negotiate a fair allocation of technical data and software rights at the
pre-award stage; and/or </font>
<p><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2"><b>2.</b> Failed to take the
necessary procedural steps to preserve technical data and software rights during
contract performance. </font>

<li><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2">The importance of properly
marking data, retaining evidence, and providing notice to the government,
along with methods for institutionalizing these critical processes. </font>
<li><font face="Courier New, Courier, mono" size="2">The remedies for the government's
misuse of proprietary information.</font>
