Should I use zephyr.src.snap.8.31.tar.Z ?

I am looking into putting up zephyr here (Bath University, England). The
sources on athena-dist.mit.edu seem to be rather old, and zbrowser in
particular seems very troublesome to build. Should I use the file
zephyr.src.snap.8.31.tar.Z, instead, or is there somewhere I can get a
later version still from?
Any pointers to mailing lists you think I should be on will also be
gratefully received. (I.Sparry@bath.ac.uk is my prefered mail address).
