Hello,
My name is Abdul Latif Mustafa, currently living in central
Baghdad, Iraq.
The security situation in Iraq is extremely bad. There
are bombings every day, and dead bodies of even children and the old
litter the streets… violence is now a way of life in Iraq… There is
extreme danger for any Iraqi who is seen to be sympathetic to the
British and American Authorities… Any one caught "supporting" the
British and American forces is ruthlessly and mercilessly slaughtered…
Iraq is no longer safe for me because my work as official translator of
Arabic and English language for the Government has automatically made
me a foreign "collaborator" and supporter. I have received death
threats, and I never sleep in the same house twice! I am on the run,
NOT from the Government, but from the Muhajedeen, whom the British and
Americans call INSURGENTS and TERRORISTS. They have sworn to kill me
and I have no where to hide in Iraq…
I have therefore decided to leave
Iraq immediately! The American and British Authorities cannot help me
because once my intention is known, the Muhajedeen will surely kill me
before I enter the Aircraft in Baghdad Airport… The Muhajedeen are
everywhere! They are found in the Police and even in the new Iraqi
Army! They are suicide bombers and once they receive their command,
nothing will stop them from committing their unspeakable atrocities!
My
condition is desperate, and I need your help. I need you to help me to
settle in your Country. I need you to send me a LETTER OF INVITATION TO
YOUR COUNTRY so that I can obtain visa to enter your Country. I do not
have cash, but like most Iraqis, I do not trust our banks and so over
time, I converted all my cash holdings and assets into diamonds and
gold, now conservatively worth just over US$5 million. I intend to sell
my gold and diamonds when I arrive your Country and start a new life!
