RE: BUSINESS INTRODUCTION
My name is Barrister Michael Odogwu Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Michael Odogwu Chambers of No: 55 Adetokunbo Street Victoria Island Lagos Nigeria and a member of Nigeria Bar Association.(N.B.A)
Actually, My purpose of writing to you arose dueto the death of my client Mr. Joseph Ruiz. He died in auto crash in company of his wife and their two children along Sagbama express road juction, Sagbama River State of Nigeria on the 21st June 2003.
He is an expatriate and was a major contractor with Shell Development Company, the company that is incharge of the nations oil business. When the accident occured, their children died instantly while my client and the wife died few hours after their admission into the Sagbama General Hospital. They were however identified through the pocket diary recoverd from Mr. Joseph {my client} by the hospital Authority. When their identities were seen, immediately the authorities contacted Shell Development company and the management of Shell quickly contacted me because they knew me as Mr. Joseph's legal adviser.
From that moment, series of meetings were held with the management of shell Development Company concerning their burials while several adverts on radio and televisions were placed serching for their relations or who will give us useful information on how to locate any of their relations. All these efforts were in vain as no one indicated interest to the request. Therefore, after waiting for several weeks with out any one coming up for identification, we went to the government and obtain a death certificate and they all were buried at Sagbama general hospital cemetary on the 3rd of August 2003.
After their burial, information of his death were sent to every company he transact business with including the bank he uses in transacting business. In his bank account, I recorvered the sum of $17,326.456. This amount is now in his account waiting for claim by the Next of Kin or any of his relation(s).
Consequently, the bank where the fund was deposited has served me a writ of notice to provide who will inheret their asserts including his fund deposited in the bank. Base on the above therefore, I am seeking for your consent to present you as the next of kin to my client so that we can retrieve the sum he deposited in the bank as the bank refused to release the fund to me because I am neither the next of kin nor a foreigner. When the fund is sent to your bank account, I will come to your country for the sharing in 60-40 percent basis. I also want you to know that the business has been perfectely arranged in such a manner that it will not course any breach of the law both here and in your country.
