I solved(?) the problem described in the last two messages I sent to zephyr-bugs
it seems that the sun server was not seeing a particular host manager
but the dec server was...
to solve the problem, I simply killed the particular host manager and restarted it.
while this solves the problem, my question is why did the dec server see the host manager
but the sun server did not?
