Uncensored and trustworthy sources of news and information are increasingly=
hard to come by, particularly ones that neither ask you to pay upfront for=
the 'privilege' of reading their stories, nor bombard you with ads. News s=
ites continue to restrict access to their stories by erecting paywalls, eve=
n though historically, less than 1% of readers will participate.*
We're a little different. At Truthout, we operate on the belief that unfett=
ered access to information is key to sparking a revolution of thought and d=
eed. To accomplish this, we depend on our readers, particularly those of yo=
u who can afford to donate to keep our mission going.
