Since true and unequivocal independence is so rare in media, and yet so man=
y websites claim independence, we thought we'd round up a few stats about T=
ruthout to start the week.

ZERO: Amount of dollars or cents Truthout makes in profit. =20
ZERO: Number of ads that have ever or will ever run on Truthout.
ZERO: Number of "sponsored" emails we send you.
ZERO: Amount of your hard-earned money it costs to read Truthout.
We hope you agree that those zeros add up to something great. Preserving th=
is level of independence is no easy feat, however, and it depends on the in=
