Welcome to another way in which Truthout is different from most media. We d=
on't sit around waiting for stories to trend before covering them. We don't=
hold back from covering a story because advertisers might not like it (it =
helps that we don't run any ads). We don't drop critical issues the moment =
a new story catches on.
We are driven by our sense of justice and our belief that change is possibl=
e. Our goal is to inform, inspire and accurately tell the stories of people=
-powered movements. We amplify the voices of marginalized individuals and c=
ommunities who otherwise might not be heard - and we follow through, with t=
he intention of prompting action. =20
