ed of the stresses many parents feel as they struggle to find temporary ful=
l-time daycare for their children. No doubt many parents also struggle with=
the disconnect between their ideal of what schools should be, and the actu=
al educational environment provided to their children.=20
As if parents didn't have enough to worry about, many will have valid conce=
rns about school resources, class size, standardized testing, and political=
influence over teacher and textbook selection practices. The education "re=
forms" that have been pushed by corporate-backed "experts" have only made t=
hings worse.
Truthout works to spread liberation from corporate control - whether it's m=
ilitary contractors that lobby the government for more war spending (and th=
us less education spending) or corporations that seek to parcel off and pri=
vatize schools, at no benefit to students, parents or teachers. We've helpe=
