(I took suggest out)
Mark, do you read discuss? I'd rather just use 'r'.
1) why does the window manager get killed off first? Or rather, is
there a reason the server can't shut down by just closing all the
connections to it? The programs should to the right thing. Or is
there a spec for how servers are supposed to die?
2) The people who have this million zgram problem fall into two
categories. People who remain logged on for days at a time, and come
back to idle machines piled with zephyrgrams. These people can be
educated around the problem. The other group of people is white-magic
types, who will set the resource to MAXINT, to avoid losing zgrams.
3) This is probably a good idea, although for different reasons, I
think. Whoever implements it should add code to zwgc to remove zgrams
from the linked list when they are unmapped, so I can save a zgram
from death by iconifying it.
