go. With the windchill, it feels like -26 out there, and it's still droppin=
g.
Extreme cold weather, for those of us lucky enough to have homes, has a way=
of breeding both inertia and insularity. We board ourselves up inside, zon=
e out in front of the television or computer screen, rapidly devour all of =
our remaining food, nap, or - if we're good - catch up on work.
But the Truthout community is something special. As the temperature has plu=
nged in many parts of the country over the past month, you haven't been nap=
ping. Almost a million of you have visited our site, filling up on informat=
ion and critical analysis! While it's too cold to hit the streets, you're s=
till working toward social justice, fortifying yourself with the knowledge =
