2 months that have gone before.
Of course 2013 has seen far more than its fair share of injustice and suffe=
ring. But this year has also given us reasons to hope for a better future.
We've seen more and more people waking up to the cruel injustice of mass in=
carceration in the American prison system. We've seen pressure from informe=
d, committed members of the public prevent a US attack on Syria and delay t=
he undemocratic Trans-Pacific Partnership trade deal. And we've seen the co=
ntinuing growth of movements against inequality and mass surveillance, and =
for economic, social and climate justice.
All of these are issues on which Truthout has not just reported, but led. O=
ur pledge to you is that in 2014, we will continue to go above and beyond t=
o bring you reporting and analysis that is not just informative, but transf=
ormative.
