t r u t h o u t | After many years of investigating corporate fraud, I came to Truthout to write a column called Solutions, offering strategies for how to make government work. Truthout allowed me to engage in candid discussions about these issues in ways that many of my mainstream reporter friends could not. I was amazed that Truthout took no advertising and relied on its readers for its main support.
Now that I'm Truthout's Acting Executive Director - while Maya Schenwar is taking a year's leave to write a book - I have the same awe for this organization and its unique place in the news realm. But we need to keep Truthout strong and independent, and we have a long way to go to make our fundraising goal this month.
We must raise $20,000 in the next two days. If you donate, I promise that this vital organization will continue to produce the quality news and commentary that brought you to our site in the first place. Please keep Truthout viable: give today.
