Is it because the president of the United States and his staff have created a to-kill list that includes Americans? Is it because the stock market and corporate profits are soaring while working wages have stagnated? No, the well-compensated journalist transcribers assigned to the White House beat are in a lather because they were not allowed to cover President Obama playing a Sunday round of golf with Tiger Woods.
Such are the priorities of the corporate mainstream media: The world may be going to hell in a handbasket, but the pressing concern for the D.C. press corps is being denied access to covering a celebrity on the links.
