t r u t h o u t | These are exciting times to be paying attention to what's going on in America (and since you read Truthout, we know you pay attention). Whether it's the anniversary of Occupy Wall Street, Chicago teachers striking to win textbooks for their students, or a Wisconsin judge ruling against Scott Walker's anti-labor law, there are signs of hope everywhere.
These are also worrying times - the climate of our planet is changing more rapidly than we can fathom, right-wing efforts to suppress voter turnout persist, and corporations still maintain a stranglehold on our political system and lives.
Truthout urgently needs your help to keep reporting on the victories and dangers, the triumphs and threats. We must raise about $40,000 more to meet our goal for this month, and this drive has started a little slow. We know we can do it with your help - but we can't do it without you!
