Writing this email is hard - the vision laid out for us by the far right-wi=
ng conspirators, who now have full control over the Republican party, is ju=
st depressing. *Empowered by unlimited financing from billionaires, they're=
working to roll back 100 years of social progress.* They strive to turn he=
alth, education, nature and even freedom into commodities - items to be hoa=
rded by the privileged few.=20
*While Democrats continue to undermine each other and answer this assault w=
ith meek compromises, there is another force growing in numbers, with histo=
ry on its side - YOU! *
We got a glimpse of what real people power can achieve this fall, when nonv=
iolent protesters took to the streets and parks across the country. They re=
ignited a suppressed political language with their bodies, their smart phon=
es and their tents. They exposed the truth - deep economic inequality infec=
ts every single problem we face as a society and creates almost insurmounta=
ble imbalances of power.
The corporate mass media may proliferate the myth that the spirit that brou=
ght masses of protesters into the street has been broken, or that a few ges=
tures by those in power will appease those who see injustice all around the=
m. *But the corporate media is lying =E2=80=A6 again.*=20
