</p><p>Our experience in working with GSA Schedule customers indicates that GSA is focusing more efforts on contract compliance.
</p><p>We have found cases of audit reports that are unduly harsh and customers of Fedmarket have reported that their audits were ugly and emotional. As always, the biggest audit problems are a violation of the Price Reduction Clause (PRC) followed by GSA prices that weren't updated by contract modification but charged to GSA customers.
</p>
<p>Non-compliance with the PRC clause can result is return of money to GSA and the dollar amount can pile up if the non-compliance is caught late in the contract period. PRC problems have resulted in huge, multi-million dollar GSA claw backs from GSA contractors and most could have been avoided with an understanding of the PRC clause and tight compliance procedures in place, including sales force education programs. </p>
<p>It is critical that vendors:</p><ul><li> make accurate disclosures </li><li>monitor price reductions to the basis of award group</li><li>pay their Industrial Funding Fee on time. </li><li>have a <a href="http://www.fedmarket.com/l/gsa_schedules/gsa_eproducts/gsa_econtractmanager/?cid=1318168453-9587_613310&utm_source=vendoremailtbl&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Generic+GSA Ad&utm_campaign=1318168453-9587_613310&email=zephyr-bugs@mit.edu">compliance program</a> in place</li></ul><p>Don't cut corners. If you discover problems, correct them immediately and communicate the problem and corrective action taken with the Contracting Officer. </p>
