RADAR COMBO HONEYWELL ART-2000/2100 & AVIDYNE EX-600
RDR 2000 / RDR 2100 DIGITAL
WEATHER RADAR
Featuring advanced weather radar technologies such as Vertical
Profile®, Antenna Stabilization and Auto Tilt, the RDR 2000 is
the best low-cost Weather radar on the Market. Moving to the RDR 2100
provides 33% more radar sweep coverage than our next closest
competitor as well as unsurpassed weather detection.
When coupled with the Avidyne EX600 Multi-Function Display, the RDR
2000 and RDR 2100 Systems offer a clear depiction of weather radar
The compact, all-in-one antenna/receiver/transmitter unit saves space
and simplifies installation.
Bringing 4-color storm cell tracking to the cockpit, the RDR 2100 is
a powerful weather avoidance tool with a max range of 320 NM. While
any radar can give you a lateral view of a storm, Honeywell’s
exclusive Vertical Profile® can give you a vertical picture,
allowing you to see what other radars can’t. The simple press
of a button allows you to analyze storm tops, gradients and cell
buildup activity—giving you the information you need to
determine the scope of the storm. You can also use Vertical
Profile® to recognize the difference between weather and ground
returns. Antenna stabilization, an electro-mechanical means of
maintaining a selected beam relative to earth’s horizon, keeps
your screen clear of ground returns during moderate aircraft
maneuvers. Select from two antennas, the 10-inch or the 12-inch, to
fit a wide variety of aircraft radomes and airframe applications. To
focus radar scanning on the areas you want to watch, the RDR 2100
offers pilot-adjustable horizontal scan angles from 20 up to 120
degrees. The system also includes a vertical scanning function to
help you analyze storm tops, gradients and cell buildup activity at
various altitudes.

EGPWS KGP-560 FACTORY NEW !! $3600.00
The Bendix/King KGP 560 Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System
(EGPWS) incorporates much of the same terrain database technology
found in our air transport EGPWS, while specifically protecting light
turbine and piston aircraft from the threat of Controlled Flight Into
Terrain (CFIT). Based on Honeywell's proven CFIT alerting algorithms,
our EGPWS provides advanced alerting while virtually eliminating
nuisance warnings.
Setting the Standard in Terrain Avoidance
Honeywell's GA-EGPWS systems provide enhanced situational awareness
and the most advanced protection available against CFIT. The KGP 560
uses derivatives of the algorithms currently in service with the air
transport fleet to virtually eliminate nuisance warnings. Each
GA-EGPWS accomplishes CFIT protection by combining an early
alert/warning capability with an optional terrain display, to enhance
safety as it improves situational awareness. Terrain information can
be presented on the KMD 550 or 850 Multi-Function Display, a weather
indicator or EFIS 40/50.
Key GA-EGPWS Features and Benefits
- Simple View
Terrain is represented by different colors, adjusting as your flight
path changes, making it easier for you to see what's ahead or below.
Two colors indicate unsafe terrain clearance: red, for terrain well
above your aircraft; and yellow, for terrain near or above aircraft
altitude.
- System Looks Ahead
The EGPWS system uses aircraft position, altitude and flight path
information to detect terrain or obstacle threats approximately one
minute ahead of the aircraft. A voice alert, "Caution Terrain,
Caution Terrain" or "Caution Obstacle, Caution Obstacle," repeats
every seven seconds if the flight path continues toward the threat
area. Thirty seconds before threat, the voice message will warn to
"Pull Up." Voice alerts cease when the aircraft is no longer
threatened. Other key benefits found only in our GA-EGPWS systems are
a built-in GPS receiver, which eliminates the need for an external
source, and sophisticated look-ahead algorithms derived from
Honeywell's extensive air transport experience
- Excessive Rate of Descent
The EGPWS provides alerting and warning when the aircraft is
descending toward terrain at a high rate for its relative altitude
above terrain, giving you plenty of time to react. This mode is
active for all phases of flight unless overridden by terrain
look-ahead functionality.
- Exclusive Peaks Mode
Not found on any other systems, our "Peaks" mode provides additional
terrain display features, giving you enhanced situational awareness
at any altitude. This information is shown graphically, in a digital
format, by varying the color and intensity of the screen display
according to the elevations of the highest and lowest displayed
terrain. Honeywell Sales Bulletin 2010-23 (o) KGP 560 EGPWS Discount
Promotion Page 4 of 9
- Altitude Awareness and Monitoring
The KGP 560 incorporates the latest in altitude awareness technology.
Three separate features combine to offer the most complete altitude
information in the industry:
- Altitude Monitoring
- Altitude Loss After Take-off
- Altitude Callout
- Runway Field Clearance Floor
To offer further protection against premature descent during landings
and operations near airports, the KGP 560 incorporates the Runway
Field Clearance Floor (RFCF) feature. RFCF provides 360º coverage of
terrain and obstacles within five nautical miles of public runways
that are more than 2,000 feet.
- Compact Protection
A compact, single-box system, unit weighs less than 1.5 pounds,
including its built-in GPS receiver. Requiring minimal input - just
pressure, altitude and power - the KGP 560 is easy to install.
Offering coverage for anywhere you fly, regional data cards can be
replaced in the field, simplifying maintenance.
- Advanced Situational Awareness
Ensure superior flight safety with a Bendix/King Integrated Hazard
Avoidance System (IHAS). IHAS systems encompass each of the four
major airborne safety systems - positioning, weather avoidance,
traffic advisories and terrain awareness - to give you a clear,
comprehensive snapshot of flight conditions on one easy-to-read
multi-function display. Enhance the capability of the KTA 870 and KMH
880 systems with either the IHAS 5000 or 8000 system for a fully
integrated safety solution.

FREEFLIGHT SYSTEMS RADAR ALTIMETERS
TRA-3000 and TRI-40 display
(http://www.freeflightsystems.com/prod_3000.htm)
The TRA-3000 (PMA) has proven effectiveness in flying search and
rescue missions, forestry operations, pipeline maintenance, offshore
helicopter operations, aero medical emergency services, border
patrol, and electronic news gathering operations. The TRA-3000 Radar
Altimeter provides precise AGL information from 2500 feet down to 40
feet.
The transmitter/receiver and antennas fit in a single, lightweight,
aerodynamic unit that can be easily installed on the fuselage bottom
or under the wing. The innovative design reduces the size and weight
of the system and significantly increases transmitter efficiency.
Coupled with the TRA-3000 Radar Altimeter, the TRI-40 Indicator
displays the AGL altitude and the pilot’s preselected decision
height (DH) in a bright, LED readout. Through audible warnings, the
pilot is alerted when the aircraft descends below the DH. This
panel-mounted display provides essential information, especially
important when there are insufficient visual cues in the terminal
area surrounding an airport or along a desired low-level flight path.
The TRI-40 Indicator also includes a visual and audible gear-up
warning when the aircraft is below 100 feet. A trip-point output
allows the pilot to activate additional alerts every 100 feet up to
800 feet. As an option, a TRI-40 Indicator mounted in a round
faceplate adapter is available to simplify certain installations.
RA-4000/4500 and RAD-40 Display
(http://www.freeflightsystems.com/prod_4000.htm)
For critical flight regimes, the new TSO-certified RA-4000 Radar
Altimeter provides today’s pilots with highly accurate and
reliable above-ground-level (AGL) information. This real-time system
enhances operational safety during approaches, nighttime operations,
and hazardous flight above rough terrain.
One of our newest radar altimeters, the RA-4000 is especially
valuable when flying search and rescue missions, forestry operations,
pipeline maintenance, off shore helicopter ops, aero-medical
emergency services, border patrol, and electronic news gathering
operations. The RA-4000 Radar Altimeter is designed to be easily
integrated
(http://www.freeflightsystems.com/images/integrated_systems.jpg) with

<p>Bringing 4-color storm cell tracking to the cockpit, the RDR 2100 is a powerful weather avoidance tool with a max range of 320 NM. While any radar can give you a lateral view of a storm, Honeywell’s exclusive Vertical Profile® can give you a vertical picture, allowing you to see what other radars can’t. The simple press of a button allows you to analyze storm tops, gradients and cell buildup activity—giving you the information you need to determine the scope of the storm. You can also use Vertical Profile® to recognize the difference between weather and ground returns. Antenna stabilization, an electro-mechanical means of maintaining a selected beam relative to earth’s horizon, keeps your screen clear of ground returns during moderate aircraft maneuvers. Select from two antennas, the 10-inch or the 12-inch, to fit a wide variety of aircraft radomes and airframe applications. To focus radar scanning on the areas you want to watch, the RDR 21!
00 offers pilot-adjustable horizontal scan angles from 20 up to 120 degrees. The system also includes a vertical scanning function to help you analyze storm tops, gradients and cell buildup activity at various altitudes.</p>

The Bendix/King KGP 560 Enhanced Ground Proximity Warning System (EGPWS) incorporates much of the same terrain database technology found in our air transport EGPWS, while specifically protecting light turbine and piston aircraft from the threat of Controlled Flight Into Terrain (CFIT). Based on Honeywell's proven CFIT alerting algorithms, our EGPWS provides advanced alerting while virtually eliminating nuisance warnings.
<br>
<br>Setting the Standard in Terrain Avoidance
<br>
<br>Honeywell's GA-EGPWS systems provide enhanced situational awareness and the most advanced protection available against CFIT. The KGP 560 uses derivatives of the algorithms currently in service with the air transport fleet to virtually eliminate nuisance warnings. Each GA-EGPWS accomplishes CFIT protection by combining an early alert/warning capability with an optional terrain display, to enhance safety as it improves situational awareness. Terrain information can be presented on the KMD 550 or 850 Multi-Function Display, a weather indicator or EFIS 40/50.
<br>
<br> Key GA-EGPWS Features and Benefits
<br>
<br>- Simple View
<br>Terrain is represented by different colors, adjusting as your flight path changes, making it easier for you to see what's ahead or below. Two colors indicate unsafe terrain clearance: red, for terrain well above your aircraft; and yellow, for terrain near or above aircraft altitude.
<br>
<br>- System Looks Ahead
<br>
<br>The EGPWS system uses aircraft position, altitude and flight path information to detect terrain or obstacle threats approximately one minute ahead of the aircraft. A voice alert, "Caution Terrain, Caution Terrain" or "Caution Obstacle, Caution Obstacle," repeats every seven seconds if the flight path continues toward the threat area. Thirty seconds before threat, the voice message will warn to "Pull Up." Voice alerts cease when the aircraft is no longer threatened. Other key benefits found only in our GA-EGPWS systems are a built-in GPS receiver, which eliminates the need for an external source, and sophisticated look-ahead algorithms derived from Honeywell's extensive air transport experience
<br>
<br>- Excessive Rate of Descent
<br>
<br>The EGPWS provides alerting and warning when the aircraft is descending toward terrain at a high rate for its relative altitude above terrain, giving you plenty of time to react. This mode is active for all phases of flight unless overridden by terrain look-ahead functionality.
<br>
<br>- Exclusive Peaks Mode
<br>
<br>Not found on any other systems, our "Peaks" mode provides additional terrain display features, giving you enhanced situational awareness at any altitude. This information is shown graphically, in a digital format, by varying the color and intensity of the screen display according to the elevations of the highest and lowest displayed terrain. Honeywell Sales Bulletin 2010-23 (o) KGP 560 EGPWS Discount Promotion Page 4 of 9
<br>
<br>- Altitude Awareness and Monitoring
<br>
<br>The KGP 560 incorporates the latest in altitude awareness technology. Three separate features combine to offer the most complete altitude information in the industry:
<br>
<br>- Altitude Monitoring
<br>
<br>- Altitude Loss After Take-off
<br>
<br>- Altitude Callout
<br>
<br>
<br>- Runway Field Clearance Floor
<br>
<br>To offer further protection against premature descent during landings and operations near airports, the KGP 560 incorporates the Runway Field Clearance Floor (RFCF) feature. RFCF provides 360º coverage of terrain and obstacles within five nautical miles of public runways that are more than 2,000 feet.
<br>
<br>- Compact Protection
<br>
<br>A compact, single-box system, unit weighs less than 1.5 pounds, including its built-in GPS receiver. Requiring minimal input - just pressure, altitude and power - the KGP 560 is easy to install. Offering coverage for anywhere you fly, regional data cards can be replaced in the field, simplifying maintenance.
<br>
<br>- Advanced Situational Awareness
<br>
<br>Ensure superior flight safety with a Bendix/King Integrated Hazard Avoidance System (IHAS). IHAS systems encompass each of the four major airborne safety systems - positioning, weather avoidance, traffic advisories and terrain awareness - to give you a clear, comprehensive snapshot of flight conditions on one easy-to-read multi-function display. Enhance the capability of the KTA 870 and KMH 880 systems with either the IHAS 5000 or 8000 system for a fully integrated safety solution.

Fly with confidence and peace of mind. Fly with Mid-Continent Instruments' new 4300 series electric attitude indicator the Lifesaver® gyro. Even if every other system in your aircraft's avionics panel goes dark, the Lifesaver powers on. The only attitude indicator with a self-contained battery backup, it delivers one full hour of emergency attitude reference. One hour of precious time to pull you through when trouble strikes and all other power fails. Can you live without it?
<br>The Lifesaver gyro offers much more than emergency backup. Its 7,500-hour MTBF is more than double the life of most electric gyros at about two-thirds the cost. The Lifesaver is the perfect choice.
