Dear SpaTrends Associate,
Well,
I'm sure everyone has this question on their mind: How was the
I.E.C.S.C. (Magda Show) in Vegas this year? I have attended this show
for 12 years, and I.E.C.S.C. has always been the pulse of the industry,
setting the tone for the upcoming buying season. Without question,
Questex has done a marvelous job enhancing the quality of the physical
attributes and programming. The hall looked spectacular and Education
was exceptional, the new addition of the Medical Spa Society, put
it over the top.
To answer the
burning question, the Spa Industry is alive and well. Yes, there have
been a few down slides. Buyers are acting less on emotions and more on
value, service, and quality. And I think that is good advice for the
rest of us, too. I urge you to work smarter, not necessarily harder,
and make shifts that preserve the integrity of your company and
product. Rule #1 is to STAY IN FRONT OF YOUR CLIENT BASE! Position
yourself to be visible and accessible at all times. Let them know
you're still alive and dependable and ready to support their efforts.
As
an industry marketing professional, I took the opportunity to speak
with as many attendees, vendors, and consultants as possible
