Being awarded a GSA Schedule contract is the quickest way to drastically reduce your competition in federal sales.

The GSA Schedule program is designed to reduce the need to openly compete every purchase. It provides the Government a restricted pool of vendors with pre-approved prices, where a simple review of the prices offered is sufficient to fulfill all purchasing regulations.

General consensus is; a small business needs a GSA Schedule to be competitive.

Receiving an award of a GSA Schedule contract is like receiving a stamp of approval. It means your company has been deemed worthy of federal business, your prices have been determined to be fair, and your competency in your field is demonstrated. Government buyers can make purchases from you directly through GSA Advantage; the government's online shopping mall. A GSA Schedule contract is attractive to both the federal buyer and seller; it's a win - win situation.

The Logistics: To become a GSA Schedule contractor, a vendor must first submit an offer in response to the applicable GSA Schedule solicitation. The GSA proposal document you must submit for approval is a lengthy and complicated document; you can see for yourself by visiting the GSA.gov site and downloading the schedule that fits your business.

Many companies spend months trying to complete the proposal on their own; the end result is typically frustration, followed by shelving the proposal indefinitely. In the meantime their competitors are coming to Fedmarket.com's 3-Day GSA Proposal Preparation eLab and completing their proposal in 3-days or fewer. (Scroll down to learn how the GSA eLab works.)
