647 Non-Governmental Organizations eligible to attend the Doha ministerial (Press / 240, 13 August 2001) =A9 WTO News =20
The Director-General of the World Trade Organization, today sent letters to 647 non-governmental organizations confirming their eligibility to attend the 4th WTO=20Ministerial Conference in Doha, Qatar, in November. The NGOs have until 17 September to complete and return their registration forms to the WTO Secretariat. The=20Members of the WTO have agreed that the 4th WTO Ministerial Conference will be held in Doha, Qatar, from 9 to 13 November 2001. The Ministerial Conference is=20the topmost decision-making body of the WTO. It meets at least every two years and brings together all Members of the organization. The Ministerial Conference can=20take decisions on all matters under any of the WTO Agreements.
Production Mini-plants in mobile containers (Special report, August 2001) =A9 Science Network =20
Science Network will supply to countries and developing regions the technology and the necessary support for the production in series of Mini-plants in mobile=20containers (40-foot). The Mini-plant system is designed in such a way that all the production machinery is fixed on the platform of the container, with all wiring,=20piping, and installation parts; that is to say, they are fully equipped... and the mini-plant is ready for production.
