Scopus Implementation Kick-Off Meeting May 1, 1996

Attending: Sousa, Dupuis, Larrabee, Thomas, Willis, Charbonneau
            Pakulat, Lee, Wade, Arnett

- Started with Introductions

- Brief explanation of today's help desk,
     volume, customers, data captured

- Allowed time for round table questions, reviewed activities and time
commitment for next three days (thru Friday 5/3).

- Action items:

   - Meeting 12:45 5/1/96 in 11-226 to review in more detail how the Help Desk
functions. Will review housecall activity with Joanne at 1:15.

   - Joanne will furnish information/document on Help Desk business plan

   - Peter will furnish information on existing field definitions

   - Meeting 11:00 5/2/96 in 11-124A with Help Desk Staff meeting to review
      existing screens and process.

   - Lynne will install Eudora in 16-720 and demo to Terry

   - Terry to use the tooltime@mit.edu list for sending questions. This
should facilitate information gathering with less meetings. As a result,
we need to add additional people to tooltime (e.g Harold, Joanne,
      Cynthia, etc.).

   - Anyone needing entry cards for Building 16 should see Wade

   - We need to load the demo data that comes with Scopus (Wade/Terry)

   - Scoups client is running on all Dell machines in Building 16 (the
initial problem was that the application name needed to be specified
      as SupportTEAMplus).

   - Need to setup accounts for everyone on tooltime (Wade)

   - Learning Tcl should not be a problem, takes about a day. Currently,
we have two books. We may want to buy one (or two) more.

   - Ray and Wade will evaluate packaging (via the Wise installer) the
Windows client program for distribution (currently via a CD) via the
network. Need to investigate the location of the components and if the
setup program is doing anything tricky (e.g. edit autoexec.bat).
Terry to check on distribution issues.

   - Oliver and Wade will setup the tooltime locker with a Solaris client.
Intention is to invoke client via (add tooltime; xxxx). Terry to check
on issues/availability with a Irix client.
