Hi Steve,
This is regarding the carriage return trouble we're getting when a user
enters text into the History field on the Mac, then views it on the PC. I
viewed the log you created and verified that the bar-type characters occur
for each carriage return, which we've all seen, but here's one more
important detail.
If the log is viewed on the NT workstation and modified on that platform,
when it is saved the bar-type things are stripped. Thus, if you save the
log, clear the log screen, then bring up the log again the bars are all
stripped without their having been turned into carriage returns. The
formatting is simply lost!
I have some more details to work out before I email Scopus about this. By
the way, the GUI mask in Scopus Works that I mentioned on the phone
wouldn't help solving this problem.
