Regarding the MOTD:
- Seems that there were a number of problems.
1. The Save, Delete, Find buttons only show if you have 'ADMIN' status.
No one has the status of 'ADMIN', we have been using 'HD Admin" for
the maintenance screens. There are theee people with 'HD Admin'
status - smyser, debi, pragone. I will add Barbara (done).
David will revise the permissions such that the buttons on the
motd screen now reflect 'HD Admin' status.
This means that we will need to propergate these changes to
production.
2. The MOTD seems to work as follows:
a. Bring up the MOTD screen.
b. Click the Find button to show the existing message
c. Change the message
d. Click Save
If you omitt step b., I just got a bunch of errors. Guess you need
to overwrite the exiting record in the table, which step b. locates.
3. The Find button in the existing system also has a status of MOTD.
This means that consultants without 'HD Admin" status could see
the motd. David will remove the 'HD Admin" status for this button.
This should resolve the motd issues.
