To keep you up to date on a few items:
1. The test machine has been upgraded with a new database at Oracle 7.2.3.
The older Oracle database 7.1.4 is still there, but not active. The plan
is to test the new database, especially the Secure Network Services
(encryption) component. David and I will take an initial look at testing,
then we may need other team members to take look on all three platforms.
After an initial acceptance of the new database, Database Services will
upgrade the production machine.
2. I have been testing the Scopus Macintosh client and sending bug reports
to Scopus. The good news is that it takes 45 seconds to startup. The
bad news is that I have "complained" about the non-standard Oracle library
installation and have received a number of system crashes. Once the
client becomes more stable, I will make it available for general testing.
