REMINDER
As we agreed to last week, there is no tooltime meeting on Tuesday.
I will be in Building 16 during this time if anyone wants to stop
by and talk or has any extra food.
NEW STUFF:
1. With some more C programming/hacking, all Filemaker log history
records now have correct linefeed characters as exported from
Filemaker. Last week, 20% of the records still had problems.
On the test database, this pertains to all log id numbers less
than or equal to ID 62218. I left untouched records that were used
for stress testing (those > log id 100,000). Thus, you can check
log id 161093 and 61093 to see the before and after conversion.
It's probably more important to check the data against Filemaker.
I would be interested in any feedback.
Some of the larger records you may want to test are:
processing log id: 61753 length: 8270
processing log id: 60384 length: 8354
processing log id: 59595 length: 8872
processing log id: 53593 length: 9086
processing log id: 56132 length: 9457
processing log id: 58563 length: 9546
processing log id: 57682 length: 9822
processing log id: 57539 length: 11107
processing log id: 60370 length: 16058
2. A new Scopedia (Scopus on-line documentation) CD arrived today via
FedEx. As of now, the CD is in E40.
THINGS I AM CHECKING INTO (AND RECENT CONVERSATIONS WITH SCOPUS):
1. We should be getting an Irix client (Oliver, don't say I never did
anything for you).
2. WebTEAM version 2.0 is currently in beta, waiting to hear on timeframe
for the release.
4. Verity search engine will be in release 5.2, possible use for
solution sets (long term investigation, low priority).
5. Working on getting ScopusWorks, waiting to hear back from Scopus
6. Pursuing issues with Scopus Macintosh working with SQL*Net 2.1.
Bug ID 13329. Scopus informed this is a high priority.
7. Should investigate purchase of Customer Care Maintenace, seems to
be low cost and worth the cost/benefit.
