Previously, sql*net for windows was not available over the network.
Now, if you need sql*net for windows or a new tnsnames.ora file, I placed
this information on both net-dist (/pub/dos/alpha-beta/oracle/orainst.exe)
and the
web (http: //web.mit.edu/tooltime/www/scopus_software.html). My
recommendation is to use the web. This is an early release on net-dist and
creation of an html page, I am still working on readme's for both
installation and system requirements.
My current understanding is that to run the encrypted sql*net, you will
need to download this new version. Since I just published this today, it
needs more testing, especially against Windows 95 or NT (neither of which I
have in Building 16).
